Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, located near Lijiang in Yunnan Province, is
one of China’s most breathtaking natural wonders. With snow-capped peaks
soaring over 5,500 meters, turquoise rivers, and rich Naxi culture, it’s a
destination that combines stunning scenery with unique experiences.

My journey
The Ascent: Cable Car to the Clouds
Early in the morning, I boarded the cable car to the high-altitude viewing
platform. The ride was unforgettable gliding above deep valleys and pine
forests, watching the world shrink below. At the top, endless snow peaks
and a sea of clouds made me feel like I was standing on the roof of the
world.

Blue Moon Valley: A Hidden Gem
After descending, I wandered through Blue Moon Valley, where turquoise
waters reflected the surrounding mountains like a mirror. The serenity was
magical—I could hear nothing but the gentle flow of water and the
occasional bird call.

Cultural Touch & Unique Experiences
One highlight was renting traditional Naxi ethnic costumes for photos.
Dressed in vibrant colors and intricate patterns, I strolled through scenic
spots, feeling immersed in local culture. Many visitors do this—it’s a fun way
to capture unforgettable memories against snow peaks and turquoise lakes.

In the afternoon, I attended the Impression Lijiang show, directed by Zhang
Yimou. Against the backdrop of the snowy mountain, local Naxi performers
showcased their traditions through music and dance, a truly spectacular
cultural performance.
